The airport:
Take the airport shuttle train to the central station (Brussel-Centraal
/ Bruxelles Centrale) - 15-20 minutes. Follow directions from the Central
station given above.
Railway station Brussels-Zuyd / Bruxelles Midi:
journey time: 30 minutes.
Take metro line 2 direction Simonis, to the stop named Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet.
Change to metro line 1A, direction Herrman-Debroux, take it to the stop
named Beaulieu.

Hotel Tulip Inn Brussels Boulevard:
journey time: 30 minutes.
Walk to metro stop Rogier, 3 minutes from the hotel.
Take metro line 2 direction Clemenceau, to the stop named Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet.
Change to metro line 1A, direction Herrman-Debroux, take it to the stop
named Beaulieu.

For your information:
The hotel Tulip Inn Brussels Boulevard, which is quite conveniently located, has given the workshop participants a special rate of € 104 for a single and € 106 for a double room if you call them on +32 2 2051511 and ask for the special rate quoting "European Commission".
You can get a MUCH better rate, however, if you simply book your room on their website: € 80 single and € 90, for the same rooms... visit their website (or simply locate the brussels hotel on www.goldentulip.com); select your dates under "booking" and select "show all rates". the cheaper "Hotel Package Rates" will be shown at the bottom of the page, and you can book your room there.
